Cedar Log Bed
Our log beds are built
using mortise & tenon
construction. The ends of
the spindles are turned
to create a tenon and
flared out to the diameter
of the log. All mortise &
tenon joints are glued &
bolted with 1/2" x 6"
grade 5 lag bolts. Side
rails are attached to post
by use of steel hook
brackets. These brackets
are mortised into the side
rails & are not visible
when bed is assembled.
In addition to being
extremely rigid, the
brackets allow for
complete assembly  or
disassembly in less than
five minutes with no tools.
Slats are made of upright
2x4's on steel joist
hangers.

This custom built, log
style chest of drawers
features half round log
legs with flat side panels,
14" full extension steel
ball bearing slides,
dovetailed drawers,
natural edge shelves, &
a natural edge top. The
four bottom drawers are
10"x 36" x 14" & the top
drawer is 4 1/2" x 36" x
14", making the whole
unit 48" tall.
